Honoring the People Who Make Ramona Extraordinary

The Ramona Rodeo Ambassador Program is a tradition created to recognize the individuals who embody the spirit of our community and the values celebrated throughout the Ramona Rodeo.

Each year, three Community Ambassadors are selected through community nominations and Ramona Rodeo Foundation Board review. Each Ambassador receives a custom Ramona Rodeo Ambassador belt buckle and has the opportunity to ride in the barrel truck ahead of the barrel racing event on the evening they are honored.

As we celebrate the 45th Anniversary Ramona Rodeo, nominations are open to all Ramona residents. We encourage you to nominate someone whose character, service, leadership, or personal story reflects one of this year’s three themed rodeo nights.

Nightly Themes & Who We’re Looking For

Indigenous Peoples’ Night (Thursday)

This evening celebrates the rich history, traditions, and enduring contributions of Native American cultures while recognizing the importance of preserving heritage, honoring ancestors, and fostering respect between generations and communities.

We invite nominations for individuals who embody these values through cultural stewardship, education, community leadership, service, or a deep respect for history and tradition. While nominees do not have to be Native American, we encourage nominations of Indigenous community members whose lives and contributions reflect the spirit of this celebration.

Golden Circle of Champions Night (Friday)

Golden Circle of Champions celebrates the courage, resilience, and hope of children facing pediatric cancer and other life-threatening illnesses while honoring the families, caregivers, advocates, volunteers, and supporters who stand beside them.

We invite nominations for individuals whose compassion, generosity, perseverance, and commitment to serving others exemplify the spirit of a champion. Whether through advocacy, volunteerism, personal resilience, or acts of kindness, this Ambassador represents hope and the positive impact one person can have on the lives of others.

God Bless America Night (Saturday)

Our final performance celebrates faith, freedom, patriotism, and the American spirit. It is an opportunity to recognize those who have dedicated themselves to serving our country, protecting our communities, and strengthening the values that unite us.

We invite nominations for individuals who demonstrate exceptional patriotism, selfless service, leadership, or dedication to their community. Veterans, active-duty military members, first responders, educators, civic leaders, volunteers, and others who exemplify these ideals are all deserving candidates, though the honor is open to any individual whose life reflects the spirit of this patriotic celebration.

Nomination Details

  • Nominations are open Monday, July 6th through Friday, July 24th at 5:00 PM.
  • The three Ambassadors will be announced on Friday, July 31st.
  • Each selected Ambassador will receive a custom belt buckle and will and will have the opportunity to ride in the barrel truck ahead of the barrel racing event on the night they are recognized.
