Tickets & Seating


Where can I buy tickets to the Ramona Rodeo?

Tickets are available exclusively through the link on our website.*

*Note: we do not guarantee and are not responsible for tickets purchased anywhere else, including ticket resale sites. Be sure you purchase your tickets directly through the link on the Ramona Rodeo website.

Do I need to buy a ticket for my child?

It depends on their age. Children are considered 6 years and under and require a paid ticket.

Children under 2 years old are free in General Admission only, with a paid adult ticket.

(The general rule of thumb is if they are going to take up a seat in the bleachers, they need a ticket.)

What if my plans change and I can't attend after all?

This is a rain or shine event. Ticket sales are non-refundable and all ticket sales are final.

Do I have a reserved seat?

No. All seats are on a first come, first serve basis in all areas of admission (General Admission, Preferred & VIP).

How much are General Admission tickets?

What does my General Admission ticket include?
  • Admission to the Rodeo
  • First come, first serve seating in the grand stands and standing room locations around the arena
  • Access to the post-rodeo dance in the Pavilion immediately following the conclusion of the rodeo performance
How much are Preferred Tickets?
  • Thursday (Aug 22)
    • $40/person (ages 2 & up)
  • Friday (Aug 23)
    • $45/person (ages 2 & up)
  • Saturday (Aug 24)
    • $60/person (ages 2 & up)
What does my Preferred ticket include?
  • Admission to the Rodeo
  • First come, first serve seating in the Preferred seating area right by the announcers tower and bucking chutes
  • Access to the post-rodeo dance in the Pavilion immediately following the conclusion of the rodeo performance
How much are VIP tickets?
  • Thursday (Aug 22)
    • $80/person (ages 2 & up)
  • Friday (Aug 23)
    • $100/person (ages 2 & up)
  • Saturday (Aug 24)
    • $130/person (ages 2 & up)
What does my VIP ticket include?
  • VIP Parking Area & Entrance Gate (Parking fee NOT included - parking is $5/vehicle)
  • Exclusive access to the VIP seating area near the bucking chutes (all VIP seats are first come, first serve)
  • VIP Bar
  • VIP Porta-potties
  • 1 VIP dinner ticket
  • 2 VIP drink tickets
  • Access to the post-rodeo dance in the Pavilion immediately following the conclusion of the rodeo performance
Can I buy tickets at the gate?

Only if you do it from your phone. All ticket sales will be exclusively through the ticket link on our website.

Our shows frequently sell out, so please make your plans early so you don't miss out!

Do I have to have a ticket?

Yes. Entry gates are on the exterior perimeter of the ROCC and you must have a ticket to enter.

*Note - Tickets are NOT required for Slack or for Cowboy Church. These are open to the public and free of charge.

Can I come in and out with my ticket?

NO. For everyone's safety and for the integrity of our tickets, there will be NO gate re-entry permitted.


Getting Here & Parking


How much is parking?

$5 per vehicle (cash only)

ALL ticket types must pay for parking, including our VIP ticket holders.

Is Parking included with my ticket?

NO. Parking is not included with any type of ticket. All vehicles are $5 each (cash only), regardless of ticket type.

I bought a VIP ticket, does it include parking?

No. While your VIP ticket does give you access to the VIP parking area, it does not include the parking fee of $5 per vehicle.

Be sure to have your VIP ticket available on your phone or printed to be directed to the VIP parking area.

Can I leave and come back?

While technically, yes, you may leave and come back, there are NO in/out privileges included with your parking fee. If you choose to leave you will need to pay for parking upon your return.


Prohibited Items


What items are prohibited inside the Ramona Rodeo grounds?
  • Outside food/beverage containers (this includes coolers, outside food or drink, opened water bottles & thermoses)
  • Camera bags, point & shoot cameras, cameras with detachable lenses, video cameras of any kind, tripods, monopods, GoPro's, selfie sticks and drones
  • Weapons of any kind (unless you are an on-duty, uniformed police officer)
  • Illegal drugs of any kind
Can I bring my own water?

YES. Rodeo fans are permitted to bring factory sealed (unopened) disposable plastic water bottles, only.


Pets


Can I bring my dog/pet to the Rodeo?

No. Personal pets are not allowed onto the grounds.

Only Service Animals as legally defined by California State, San Diego County, Federal Laws and ADA compliance laws will be allowed. Service Animals must be leashed and under control at all times.

Can I leave my pet in my car while I attend the Rodeo?

No. Pets may not be left in vehicles per Code 62.700 and 62.701.


Weather & Attire


What happens if it rains?

The show goes on! The Ramona Rodeo is a rain or shine event. Dress accordingly and join us for a fantastic show!

How should I dress for the Ramona Rodeo?
  • We always suggest checking the latest weather forecast on your favorite weather app or station, then dress accordingly!
  • Many Rodeo guests like to dress in Western wear for the Rodeo or to match the daily theme/colors. This is encouraged, but not required.
What are the daily themes/colors?
  • Thursday - Golden Circle of Champions
    • Colors - Gold & Blue
  • Friday - Legends of Rodeo
    • Colors - Purple & Gold
  • Saturday - Heroes Night
    • Color - Red, White & Blue

Alcoholic Beverages


Where can I purchase alcoholic beverages at the Rodeo?

Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase by guests 21 years and older at two locations:

  • The Watering Hole - our main bar located on the South West end of the grandstands
  • The Oasis South - located on the south east side of the grand stands next to the VIP seating entrance
Do I need cash or can I use a credit card to purchase alcoholic beverages?

Both of our bar locations accept cash and Venmo only.

How many alcoholic beverages may I order at a time?

Generally, Rodeo guests over the age of 21 are permitted to purchase two alcoholic beverages at at time. However, this is dictated by the ABC and occasionally may be restricted to a single beverage per person at a time.

Why can't I take my alcoholic beverage unopened/with the lid?

This is a requirement from the ABC. All alcoholic beverage containers must be opened by Rodeo bar staff.

I have a designated driver, why can't I drink as much as I want to purchase?

In accordance with California law, we are obliged to refuse service to anyone exhibiting signs of intoxication and we reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

I'm over 21, do I have to show ID to purchase alcohol?

All guests who wish to consume alcohol must have a valid ID which verifies that they are 21 years of age or older. We are unable to serve alcohol to anyone without a valid ID, regardless of age.

How much are alcoholic beverages at the Rodeo?

All alcoholic beverages served at the Rodeo bars range from $8 for beer, wine, seltzer & cider to $10 for canned cocktails.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

No. In accordance with our ABC license, outside alcohol of any kind is strictly prohibited.


Other


Can I smoke at the Rodeo?

There is no smoking of any kind permitted in the stands. (this includes vape pens)

When choosing to smoke elsewhere on the Rodeo grounds, we kindly ask that you be aware of your surroundings and fellow Rodeo fans.

How do I sign my child up for Mutton Bustin'?

Check out the Mutton Bustin' page for all of the details including important dates and the application form. (note, applications are only accepted during the designated application period and space for riders is extremely limited)

How do I compete in an event at the Ramona Rodeo

We are proud to be a PRCA Rodeo. To compete in any of the events (including bull riding and barrel racing), you will need to be registered with ProCom and have your PRCA card.
